Tunes in this list are tunes that have been withheld from the main database and are not seen in the tune listings. A link to it will be displayed on the Tunes Front page when there are any tunes contained in it. Normally it would be empty.

Tunes can arrive here in two ways.

  1. You could choose to 'postpone' a tune from the Editor, by pushing the button so marked. Maybe you want to leave off editing it before it's finished, and put it here to save your work so far without showing it to the world in a half-finished state.
  2. When a tune is submitted to the database, from either the Editor or a File-upload, they undergo a certain amount of validation, in an attempt to be sure that it will be capable of giving something meaningful to any viewers. When using the Editor, you'll be aware if this throws up a problem, because it won't allow you to save it (this could be another reason for using the 'postpone' button), and if it happens during a file upload, the tune will be put here and you'll be told when the upload is finished. (The presence of a link to this list will also alert you to the fact that there are incompletely-processed tunes awaiting your attention.)

The list itself is fairly simple. There is a button at the top, 'Delete All', that will simply throw away everything in the list (perhaps an upload went wrong because you forgot to select the option you intended and you're going to try again, or something like that). Then the postponed tunes are listed, with options for each individual one. They are shown in raw source (ABC) form, in a text-edit box where you can make whatever changes you want directly to them (the 'reset' button undoes any changes & reverts it back to the original state). 'Delete' will throw away that individual tune. 'Accept' will drop you into the page to edit that tune, from where you will be able to 'Save' it into the main database when you've sorted the problem out.

If you have configured the editor page to open in a separate browser window, you'll observe that this doesn't happen from here. Sorry - fixing this would potentially slow the workings of this stuff right down for big lists, and I'm not sure it's worth it.
